Greetings, Bulldog Nation! NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH: Today, October 20, is Unity Day for Bullying Prevention Month, and therefore, an appropriate time to discuss how we are working to disrupt bullying in all forms. Bowie utilizes several strategies including campus-wide student lessons, No Place for Hate events, targeted counseling interventions, and more. On-going staff training is also a key component. I will be sure to share some materials and resources we use with your students through this newsletter; some of the materials are also available on the Campus-Wide Lessons page under the Parents tab on the JBHS.org website. The next campus-wide lesson, “Let’s Talk, Bowie,” is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 in all 4th period classes.
