Bowie Student ID Policy
BOWIE BASELINE EXPECTATION #4
Wearing an ID badge is a standard work-place expectation and one of several key practices that
contributes to a safe and orderly campus. Students, staff, and visitors are required to wear an official ID
badge at all times and in plain view during school hours. ID badges may only be removed at the direction of
authorized staff for instructional purposes or other school activities. Badges are also necessary to sign in
and out of campus, purchase cafeteria items, borrow library books, receive technology support, use hall
passes, and for other classroom or campus procedures.
STUDENT ID REPLACEMENTS
- Students will be provided with a Student ID and lanyard on the first day of school.
- Students who arrive on campus without their Student ID will be provided a temporary sticker ID for $1.
- Students who lose their ID will have to buy a new ID for $5 and Bowie lanyards cost $3. Bowie accepts cash or online payment. NOTE: Provisions will be made for students with financial hardship.
