Joel Espinoza
Assistant Principal
Bowie is excited to welcome Assistant Principal Joel Espinoza as a new member of the administration team! Mr. Espinoza works with students with the last names MONS thru SCN and supervises Bowie’s Math and Fine Arts Departments.
Mr. Espinoza is a native Texan from Mercedes, a small town in South Texas in an area known as the Rio Grande Valley. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and earned his Master's of Education from Concordia University Texas. The 21-22 school year marks his 14th year in Education. He began his career as an elementary bilingual/dual language teacher at Sunset Valley Elementary here in Austin and transitioned into administration in Del Valle ISD serving at both Middle and High School levels.
When not working with students, Mr. Espinoza enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley outdoors. He is excited join the Bowie team and looks forward to a great 21-22 school year!
