Peer Assistance, Leadership, and Service (PALS)

Mission Statement

We are a peer mentoring, leadership, and service organization whose goal is to make a difference in the world, one child at a time, by fostering open communication, establishing trust, and setting an example of excellence in our daily lives.

Peer Assistance, Leadership, and Service (PALS) is a class and leadership program where students who demonstrate exceptional maturity, initiative, and kindness are nominated by teachers to apply and complete the interview process in order to be considered.

In PALS, junior and senior students are trained in the skills needed to mentor elementary school students who are faced with academic, social, and/or personal problems. We then use those skills when we travel to four of our feeder elementary schools twice a week during 2nd period to work with their students on a one-on-one basis. We spend the year mentoring and being a friend to students who need a positive influence in their lives.
